KILA KILA BY AKASYA

Hello!
I know that many new restaurants are popping up here and there, and surely I had to catch up with everything. Yes I'll do it happily. Moreover when I heard that there is a new Indonesian restaurant in SCBD area, I was more than excited. Indonesian food has always been my favorite, I never get bored of it. Something about the rich flavors and spices makes me really love Indonesian food.

KILA-KILA by Akasya is located right across Pacific Place right after you enter the SCBD area. They are on the 7th floor.  Reservation is recommended in lunch and dinner hour, even I got my table ready at 9pm. Another thing to remember, they only serve valet parking service here, charged IDR 50k/car. Quite a price, huh?

Stepped inside, I know it was a high-end Indonesian restaurant. Place was lovely and glamorous with pretty windmill decoration on the wall. Staff was friendly and the service was fine. I was there while they were having a private birthday party celebration, so it was quite hard to take many photos. But still, it was pretty indeed.

Pretty corner with a view.

MIE GORENG JAWA - 55k

LIDAH SAPI BAKAR CABE IJO - 110k

I have to say that their menu was quite extensive and interesting. They also sell tradional Indonesian cakes, too bad it was sold out when I was there. My favorite of all was their mie goreng jawa (javanese fried noodle) and lidah sapi cabe ijo. Both are flavorful and very enjoyable. Lidah sapi was quite spicy, eventhough I was hoping to have a stronger spicy flavor.

AYAM ACEH-70k
Despite the interesting name, the presentation was under my expextation. It was small, flavor was way too ordinary, chicken was a bit oily. I really hoped that I could get a surprise from this main course. Turned out I was wrong.

TEMPE MENDOAN (20k)- BAKWAN JAGUNG (25k)
Typical Indonesian snack. Nothing special.

REGAL GELATO-45k
The winner of the night! Gelato was quite fragrant and tasty as well. You could find cuts of regal biscuit which was enhancing the flavor a lot!

BETTER THAN KISSED-50k
Deep fried bread with ice cream and caramel sauce. Bread was quite flavorful on the outerside and so bland inside. Honestly? I was hoping to have an awesome closing to my not so affordable dinner. It was too ordinary to be their dessert recommendation.

Overall it was just ordinary and nothing special for the food. They have nice place with nice view, the price itself range around 40-150k, with small portion in each menu (even I could say it was too small for me!). Am I gonna coming back? Not so sure, tho.
